GHS began manufacturing guitar strings in 1964. The name of the company is the initials of the original founders. Gould, Holcomb and Solko. Used by artists such as Carlos Santana, David Gilmour (Pink Floyd), Flea (Red Hot Chilli Peppers), Green Day, Def Leppard, Richie Sambora (Bon Jovi) and many others.
