Edward John O'Brien, born in 1968, is an English guitarist and songwriter best known as a member of Radiohead. He is recognized for his atmospheric guitar work and backing vocals, often using effects and unique techniques to shape the band's sound. O'Brien formed Radiohead with classmates at Abingdon School and has contributed to the group’s distinctive style by supporting lead songwriter Thom Yorke. He also releases music as EOB, with his debut solo album "Earth" coming out in 2020. O'Brien has been active in musical collaborations, such as the 7 Worlds Collide project, and has supported causes like climate action and artist rights. He was named one of the greatest guitarists by Rolling Stone and was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame with Radiohead in 2019.
