Sir Alexander Drummond Gibson (1926–1995) was a renowned Scottish conductor and opera intendant. He was recognised for his significant contributions to the BBC and for his long tenure as principal conductor of the Scottish National Orchestra, during which the orchestra received Royal Patronage. His leadership greatly influenced the development of classical music in Scotland.
