DNA was an English electronic music duo formed by producers Nick Batt and Neal Slateford. They rose to prominence in 1990 with their hit remix of Suzanne Vega's Tom's Diner. The duo also reimagined Vega's tracks Rusted Pipe and Rosemary and achieved further success in 1997 with a remix of Loreena McKennitt's The Mummers' Dance, which topped the US airplay charts. Nick Batt later collaborated extensively with Goldfrapp, co-writing the award-winning track Strict Machine.
