Vampire Weekend is an American rock band formed in New York City in 2006, currently signed to Columbia Records. The group was founded by Ezra Koenig, Rostam Batmanglij, Chris Tomson, and Chris Baio, with Batmanglij departing in 2016 but continuing to collaborate with the band. Known for blending indie pop with influences from Afropop and chamber music, Vampire Weekend gained critical acclaim with their self-titled debut and breakout singles like A-Punk. Their follow-up albums, including Contra, Modern Vampires of the City, and Father of the Bride, achieved strong commercial success and won Grammy Awards. In April 2024, the band released Only God Was Above Us to continued critical praise.
