Rising to fame in the 1960s with the Amboy Dukes, he later launched a successful solo career with albums like “Ted Nugent”, “Free-for-All”, and “Cat Scratch Fever”, the latter featuring his signature hit. Nugent is famous for his mastery of the Gibson Byrdland guitar and for working with several prominent vocalists before taking on lead vocal duties himself. He was also a member of the supergroup Damn Yankees in the late 1980s and early 1990s. Beyond music, Nugent is known for his outspoken conservative views, strong support of hunting and gun rights, and high-profile political activity. His most recent album, “Detroit Muscle”, was released in 2022, followed by his farewell “Adios Mofo Tour” in 2023.
