Electro-acoustic guitar with maple/spruce cutaway Grand Concert body that has been revoiced to be richer, warmer and more complex, adding extra depth to the body’s natural clarity and top-end chime. Tone-enhancing strokes include a new back bracing profile, a torrefied (specially roasted) top that yields wonderfully aged tonal character, protein glues that optimize the tonal transfer, and an ultra-thin, 3.5mm gloss finish to enhance the acoustic resonance. Together with a hand-friendly short-scale (638mm) hard-rock maple neck with 20-fret ebony fingerboard, the guitar sounds and plays like a dream. A hand-rubbed “Brown Sugar” stain on the back and sides gives maple’s striking figure a beautiful violin-hued appearance. Featured appointments include new grained ivoroid Wings fingerboard inlays, Tusq nut fret and Micarta saddle, Taylor nickel tuners, an inlaid ebony backstrap, ebony binding with grained ivoroid purfling, an ebony/grained ivoroid rosette, and a striped ebony pickguard, with Taylor’s stage-ready Expression System 2 pickup and Elixir Phosphor Bronze HD Light strings onboard. The instrument comes supplied with the Taylor Deluxe hard-shell brown case.
