Savage Garden was an Australian pop duo formed in Brisbane in 1993 by vocalist Darren Hayes and multi-instrumentalist Daniel Jones. Known for global hits like I Want You, To the Moon and Back, Truly Madly Deeply, and I Knew I Loved You, they achieved major international success with their two albums, Savage Garden and Affirmation. Both records reached number one in Australia and Sweden and sold over 23 million copies worldwide. The group won ten ARIA Music Awards in 1997 and disbanded in 2001, with Hayes launching a solo career and Jones later moving into production and real estate.
