Röyksopp is a Norwegian electronic music duo from Tromsø, formed in 1998 by childhood friends Svein Berge and Torbjørn Brundtland. Emerging during the Bergen Wave, they established themselves with their debut album Melody AM in 2001. Known for blending ambient, house, and synth-pop, Röyksopp is also recognized for their creative and eccentric live performances. The duo has achieved widespread acclaim, earning two Grammy nominations, seven Spellemannprisen awards, and multiple number-one albums in Norway, along with a global fanbase and extensive touring history.
