Roy Head was an American singer best remembered for his energetic 1965 hit "Treat Her Right" with the band the Traits, which he co-founded as a teenager. Blending rock, soul, and country, Head went on to enjoy solo success on the country and western charts in the 1970s and 1980s. Known for his dynamic stage presence and versatility, he performed across several genres during a career spanning five decades. Roy Head and the Traits reunited in the 2000s and were inducted into the Rockabilly Hall of Fame.
