It faithfully captures the unique characteristics of analog tape echo devices, which record incoming audio to a continuous loop of magnetic tape, then replay it over the playback head before erasure by new audio. Utilizing Core-Image technology, the TAPE ECHO replicates essential parameters like BASS, TREBLE, REPEAT RATE (TIME), INTENSITY (REPEAT), ECHO VOLUME (LEVEL), REVERB VOLUME (REVERB), and physical nuances such as WOW, FLUTTER, and SATURATION. It even includes self-regeneration and self-oscillation via a dual footswitch stomp-box enclosure, offering an authentic vintage echo experience.

• Authentic Tape Echo Emulation: The NUX TAPE ECHO uses Core-Image technology to precisely capture the characteristics of vintage tape echo units, including parameters like BASS, TREBLE, TIME, REPEAT, LEVEL, REVERB, WOW, FLUTTER, and SATURATION.
• Intuitive Controls with Alt Tweaking: It offers all essential knobs for quick adjustments. A short press and hold of the SELECT knob enters ALT TWEAKING mode for fine-tuning SATURATION, WOW, FLUTTER, KILL DRY, and EXP.
• Modern Workflow Integration: While retaining the original hardware controls, the NUX TAPE ECHO adds features for modern workflows, including BPM (Sub-division)/MS switching and TAP TEMPO for timing control. With Tap Tempo, the longest delay time can reach 1600ms.
• Repro-Tape Heads Combination: The SELECT knob allows for various tape head combinations, expanding the sonic possibilities.
• Spring Reverb for Psychedelic Slapback & Ambience: The integral spring reverb characteristic of the Space Echo is meticulously captured by Core-Image technology, delivering natural spring reverb sound combined with warm, organic delay for lush echoes.
• Self-Oscillation and SOS Mode (Looper): Hold the ON footswitch to engage self-oscillation for infinite feedback. Press ON and TAP footswitches simultaneously to enter SOS mode (looper). In this mode, the ON footswitch controls REC/PLAY/DUB functions of the 40-second real stereo phrase looper. The display shows current status, and exiting SOS mode allows the loop to continue playing while parameters can be changed.
