Municipal Waste is a crossover thrash band from Richmond, Virginia, formed in 2000. Known for their high-energy sound and influence on the modern thrash scene, they have released seven studio albums along with several EPs and split releases. The group is fronted by vocalist Tony Foresta and rhythm guitarist Ryan Waste, the two constant members throughout the lineup changes. Joining them are Philip Land Phil Hall on bass, Dave Witte on drums, and Nick Nikropolis Poulos on lead guitar. Municipal Waste is recognized as a key force in the revival of American crossover thrash.
