Kep1er is a South Korean girl group formed by CJ ENM through the 2021 Mnet reality show Girls Planet 999. The group currently consists of seven members: Kim Chae-hyun, Huening Bahiyyih, Choi Yu-jin, Kim Da-yeon, Seo Young-eun, Ezaki Hikaru, and Shen Xiaoting. Originally nine members, Kang Ye-seo and Sakamoto Mashiro left in July 2024.
Kep1er debuted on January 3, 2022, with the EP First Impact, achieving immediate success with over 400,000 sales and topping the Gaon Album Chart. Their lead single Wa Da Da also gained international attention on Billboard charts. The group quickly received recognition as a rising name in K-pop, winning accolades at major award shows.
Their Japanese debut single Fly-Up was released in September 2022 and was certified gold with strong sales and chart performance. As of September 2024, Kep1er is co-managed by WakeOne and Klap Entertainment.
