Jamiroquai is an English band from London known for blending acid jazz, funk, rock, disco, and electronic influences. Formed in 1992 and led by vocalist Jay Kay, the group rose to fame as part of the 1990s acid jazz movement. Jamiroquai is recognized for their socially and environmentally conscious lyrics and dynamic sound. The band achieved major success with albums like Emergency on Planet Earth, Synkronized, and A Funk Odyssey, all of which topped the UK charts. Their third album, Travelling Without Moving, became the best-selling funk album in history, driven by the hit single Virtual Insanity, which earned them a Grammy Award and MTV Video Music Award.
