Hüsker Dü

Hüsker Dü

Hüsker Dü was a pioneering American punk rock band from Saint Paul, Minnesota, formed in 1979 by Bob Mould, Grant Hart, and Greg Norton. Initially recognized for their intense hardcore punk sound, they soon developed a more melodic, alternative rock style that influenced countless bands. Mould and Hart shared songwriting duties, each bringing a distinct vocal style to the group. With acclaimed albums like Zen Arcade, Hüsker Dü became known for their creativity and emotional depth. After signing with Warner Bros., the band released two more albums before disbanding in 1988. Mould later led the band Sugar, Hart formed Nova Mob, and Norton eventually returned to music after working as a restaurateur.
