Hotone MP-350 Ampero II — Second-Generation Amp Modeling & Multi-Effects Floor Processor

Hotone MP-350 Ampero II is a second-generation amp modeler and multi-effects processor that condenses a full rig's worth of amp, cabinet, and pedal modeling into a single floor unit. This model is built around an evolved CDCM HD and F.I.R.E. digital modeling platform, running on a tri-core DSP engine paired with ESS Sabre AD/DA converters for 24-bit/44.1 kHz processing and up to 127 dB dynamic range. Players receive 300 presets and 460+ effects ready to load right out of the box.

What Sets the Ampero II Apart in Its Category

What separates this unit from competing floor processors is the combination of a Tone Catch / Sound Clone capture system and a dual signal chain that supports both serial and parallel routing. Up to 12 effect modules can run simultaneously across 16 module types, and each patch stores four scenes for zero-latency switching between effect states during a performance. A 5-inch 800×480 dynamic touchscreen, onboard expression pedal, and four assignable footswitches with multicolor LED rings give performers direct hands-on control without menu diving.

Signal Processing & Effects Engine — Studio-Grade Fidelity in a Floor Unit

The signal path is engineered for both studio recording and live-stage reliability, with onboard tools that replace racks of outboard gear.

• Effects Library: 460+ effects — including 90+ amp models, 68 cab models, 100+ pedal models, and 60+ Hotone-original effects
• IR Support: 2048 sampling points, 50 user IR slots, 20 Celestion IRs included — doubled resolution over the previous generation
• Looper: 60 seconds stereo recording with undo/redo, half-speed, and reverse functions
• A built-in chromatic tuner is accessible from the main interface for quick, precise tuning between songs.

I/O & Connectivity — Stage-Ready Routing in One Back Panel

Connectivity covers every common routing scenario from pedalboard to PA, with independent output processing for each destination.

• USB Audio Interface: 8-in/8-out, 44.1–192 kHz via USB-C — doubles as a DAW front-end with Reamp support
• MIDI: MIDI IN/OUT — pairs with external controllers for expanded footswitch and patch control
• Mic Input: XLR combo jack with 48 V phantom power, 52 dB gain — supports condenser and dynamic microphones for vocal processing
• Outputs: XLR balanced + 6.3 mm TRS unbalanced, FX Loop Send/Return, 3.5 mm headphone out — independent BAL/UNBAL/Phones volume control
• Expression: Onboard expression pedal + EXP/CTRL jack — switchable volume/expression assignment

Physical Design & Power — Pedalboard-Friendly Transport

The chassis is built from lightweight aluminum and engineered for stable power delivery across different pedalboard setups.

• Dimensions: 330 × 157 × 61 mm — fits standard gig bags and compact pedalboard cases
• Weight: 1.7 kg — light enough for one-handed carry between gigs
• Power requirements are 9–18 V DC, 1.2 A max, center-negative, making it compatible with most industry-standard power supplies.
