Dave Friedman's hand-made premium quality boutique amplifier. The Runt-50 is a 50-watt all tube head that delivers Friedman's legendary tone in a versatile 2-channel amp. The Runt-50 power section is driven by two EL-34s, with four 12AX7s in the preamp. There is a pair of switchable channels with clear control of the final sound. The front panel is equipped with controls for equalizing bass, altitude and center frequencies, as well as Presence, Master Gain for Distorted Channel and Dual Band EQ, and custom volume adjustments for the pure channel. The control is complemented by a Bright switch, a switch for choosing one of the pair of cauldrons and the boost function. These functions can also be switched using the foot switch. The rear panel features an 8 or 16 ohm external speaker output, an XLR output with adjustable speaker simulation, and a switchable ultra-transparent effect loop. Amplifier is handmade in the USA.
