Darren Criss is an American actor, singer, and songwriter who first gained national attention as Blaine Anderson on the television series Glee. He won both an Emmy and a Golden Globe for his acclaimed performance as Andrew Cunanan in The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story. Criss is a founding member of StarKid Productions, debuting as Harry Potter in their hit musical A Very Potter Musical. On Broadway, he has appeared in How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying and Hedwig and the Angry Inch. Criss co-founded Elsie Fest, New York City’s outdoor music festival celebrating stage and screen songs, and formed the indie pop band Computer Games with his brother. In 2025, he made history as the first Asian American to win the Tony Award for Best Lead Actor in a Musical, and also won for Best Musical as co-producer, both for Maybe Happy Ending.
