Bruce Hornsby, born November 23, 1954, is an acclaimed American singer-songwriter and pianist known for blending folk rock, jazz, bluegrass, Southern rock, and country influences. He first gained prominence in the 1980s with Bruce Hornsby and the Range and has since earned three Grammy Awards. Over his career, he has led the Noisemakers, collaborated with bluegrass legend Ricky Skaggs, and toured extensively with the Grateful Dead from 1990 to 1992. Hornsby’s adventurous approach to songwriting and performance continues to define his work, with his 23rd album, Flicted, released in May 2022.
