Robert Hutcherson, born in 1941 and passing in 2016, was an acclaimed American jazz vibraphonist and marimba player. Known for his innovative sound, he gained recognition with his composition "Little B's Poem" from the 1966 album Components on Blue Note Records. Hutcherson’s creative approach influenced a new generation of vibraphonists, including Steve Nelson, Joe Locke, and Stefon Harris.
