Amyl and the Sniffers are a high-energy Australian pub rock and punk band from Melbourne, fronted by charismatic vocalist Amy Taylor, with Bryce Wilson on drums, Declan Mehrtens on guitar, and Gus Romer on bass. Known for their raw and explosive live shows, the band draws inspiration from 1970s punk acts like Iggy Pop and the Stooges, while also weaving in influences as diverse as AC/DC and Cardi B. Since their debut album in 2019, they've released Comfort to Me in 2021 and Cartoon Darkness in 2024. Recognized by the Australian music industry, Amyl and the Sniffers have collected three ARIA Awards, including Best Group in 2022. Their name is a nod to the slang for amyl nitrite, perfectly capturing their fast, punchy, and electrifying musical style.
