Reka Fife Rengøringssæt

Pull-Through Swab for Fife

The Reka Cleaning Set Fife is a simple, effective way to dry a fife after playing. It is a single pull-through swab. A long cloth tapers to a narrow point, and a braided cord is attached at that end. The cord ends in a small weighted tip.

To use it, drop the weighted end into the tube and let it come out the other side. Then pull the cord gently so the cloth follows through the bore and picks up the moisture left from playing. The tapered shape lets the cloth start slim and fill the bore more as it moves through. Regular swabbing keeps the inside of the instrument dry and clean, which helps protect both wooden and plastic fifes.

The swab is soft and folds up small, so it fits easily in a fife case or bag. It makes a practical everyday accessory for marching band, folk and military-band players.
